Definition

Ideation is the group of variables used to read the direction of thought, the organization of representations, and the presence of cognitive peculiarities or slippage. In this section, a:p, Ma:Mp, 2AB+Art+Ay, MOR, Sum6, Lv2, WSum6, M-, and Mnone are reviewed together.

Interpretation

  • a:p and Ma:Mp help show whether mental activity leans more toward initiative or passivity.
  • 2AB+Art+Ay shows how much thought shifts toward abstract, artificial, or less immediate formulations.
  • MOR adds the weight of damage, failure, deterioration, or loss within ideational content.
  • Sum6, Lv2, and WSum6 summarize the magnitude of cognitive peculiarities.
  • M- and Mnone help show how well thought linked to human movement is organized.

Cautions

  • This group should not be read without considering protocol quality and the context of Mediation and Processing.
  • A mildly elevated single variable is not enough to conclude major ideational distortion.
  • When M is very scarce, some ratios or contrasts lose stability.
