[Interpretation/Interpersonal] Pure H

[Interpretation/Interpersonal] Pure H

Aliases

  • Pure H
  • pure human
  • whole human content

Definition

PureH shows how much human content appears in complete and conventional form, that is, as H. At the interpersonal level, it helps show whether the image of the other tends to be organized as a whole person rather than as a part-object, partial figure, or fantasy human.

Interpretation

  • If PureH is relatively high, there is usually more availability to represent people as whole and more integrated figures.
  • If PureH is low, especially when HumanCont is not low, it is worth checking whether human representations are more partial, idealized, or distorted.
  • PureH < 2 often justifies a more careful review of relational style and the quality of human content.
  • The variable reflects structural quality of human representation, not interpersonal kindness or sympathy.

Cautions

  • PureH is not the same as HumanCont; one looks at complete human content and the other looks at total human content.
  • A high value does not guarantee mature relatedness if PHR, AG, or MOR are also high.
  • A low value does not by itself mean rejection of people.

Cross References

  • To read PureH well, it should be compared with HumanCont, GHR, PHR, and H ratio.
  • Its meaning changes if the protocol contains almost no human responses.
