Aliases
- Pure H
- pure human
- whole human content
Definition
PureH shows how much human content appears in complete and conventional form, that is, as H.
At the interpersonal level, it helps show whether the image of the other tends to be organized as a whole person rather than as a part-object, partial figure, or fantasy human.
Interpretation
- If
PureHis relatively high, there is usually more availability to represent people as whole and more integrated figures. - If
PureHis low, especially whenHumanContis not low, it is worth checking whether human representations are more partial, idealized, or distorted. PureH < 2often justifies a more careful review of relational style and the quality of human content.- The variable reflects structural quality of human representation, not interpersonal kindness or sympathy.
Cautions
PureHis not the same asHumanCont; one looks at complete human content and the other looks at total human content.- A high value does not guarantee mature relatedness if
PHR,AG, orMORare also high. - A low value does not by itself mean rejection of people.
