[Coding/Location] Dd

[Coding/Location] Dd

Aliases

  • Dd
  • unusual detail
  • infrequent detail location

Definition

Dd is used when the response is based on an infrequently used blot detail. The code indicates uncommon area selection, not automatically unusual content or pathology.

Conditions

  • The response is localized to an area used relatively infrequently by respondents.
  • The area is confirmed on the location sheet or in inquiry.
  • The response does not qualify as whole-blot or common-detail coding.

Cautions

  • Dd should not be assigned only because the area is small. The real issue is uncommon use.
  • If white space is integrated with the uncommon detail, use scoring-input/location/DdS.
  • Dd has to be read in pattern, not in isolation.
