[Interpretation/Core] EA

[Interpretation/Core] EA

Aliases

  • EA
  • Experience Actual
  • available resources

Definition

EA is the index of available resources derived from the components of EB. It indicates how much effective capacity the person has to handle ordinary demands and modulate current experience.

Interpretation

  • Adequate EA suggests enough basic resources for everyday demands.
  • Low EA may indicate limited resources for regulating tension and meeting demands.
  • Sufficient EA does not by itself guarantee adaptation; it has to be compared with the burden represented by es.
  • EA is one of the main bases for reading D and AdjD.

Cautions

  • If EA looks sufficient but EBPer is very rigid or es is very high, actual functioning may still be unstable.
  • In short protocols or protocols with high Lambda, the number can underestimate or oversimplify the real picture.
  • EA refers to resources that are potentially available, not to perfect use of those resources in every situation.
