Aliases
- S-%
- White Space Distortion
Definition
S-% indicates the proportion of distorted responses among responses that use white space.
It does not measure only how often S appears, but how much distortion is combined with white-space use.
Interpretation
- If
S-%is high, opposition or distance from the field may be accompanied by more perceptual distortion. - It can suggest that white-space use is not only a defensive stance, but also a source of mediation disorganization.
- Its meaning gains strength when
Sis also elevated.
Cautions
S-%is not the same asSin the upper section orSin affect.- If there are very few
Sresponses, the ratio can be unstable. - It should be read as white space plus distortion, not as a pure index of negativism.
