- color projection
- chromatic projection
Definition
CP is coded when the subject perceives chromatic color in an achromatic area of the blot.
The core idea is that color is not actually present in that area, but the subject attributes it there.
Conditions
- Consider it when an achromatic area is described as red, blue, green, or another chromatic color.
- This is added as a Special Score rather than coded as a normal chromatic color determinant.
- Before assigning it, rule out a verbal slip or a simple visual confusion.
- In many cases it is reviewed alongside scoring-input/determinants/FY, scoring-input/determinants/YF, scoring-input/determinants/Y, and later connects with result-interpretation/lower-section/affect/CP.
Cautions
- If the color actually belongs to a chromatic area of the blot, do not use
CP; consider determinants such as scoring-input/determinants/FC first. CPshould not be mixed withFC,CF, orCas if actual chromatic color were present in that same area.- The decision depends on projected color in an achromatic area, not on a general preference for color themes.
