Definition
CDI is a composite index that summarizes vulnerability in coping resources and interpersonal effectiveness.
It helps detect when the person may feel poorly equipped to handle demand, tension, or relational pressure.
Interpretation
- If
CDIis positive, coping resources, dependency, interpersonal inefficiency, and low tolerance for demand should be reviewed. - The index usually carries more weight when it appears with
Food,SumT_inter,ISO_Index,PureH, andEA. - It may suggest helplessness, need for support, or limited flexibility under stress.
- If
DEPIis also positive, vulnerability may be mixed with depressive tone.
Cautions
CDIis not a depression index.- It should not be treated as proof of fixed immaturity or a permanent trait.
- Age, social support, and current demands can strongly change its meaning.
Cross References
- The index points to risk of insufficient resources, but not to its cause by itself.
- It is important to return to
