Definition

M- indicates human movement responses with minus form quality. In interpretation, it is used as a sign that imagined human activity is distorted, poorly anchored in shared reality, or less accurately organized.

Interpretation

• If M- appears, human representations may show less precise or less reality-based thinking.
• If it accumulates with Lv2 or WSum6, concern about ideational disorganization increases.
• It can point to odd human fantasy, distorted reading of other people, or less integrated mental elaboration.

Cautions

• Not every unusual M response is M-; the M coding and form quality both have to be confirmed first.
• A single M- is not enough to define a thought disorder.
• Its weight changes greatly depending on how it combines with Mnone, PTI, mediation, and processing.
