[Interpretation/Core] EBPer
Aliases
- EBPer
- EB Pervasive
- EB pervasiveness
Definition
EBPer is the ratio between the larger and smaller sides of EB.
It is interpreted only when EB has a clear direction, and it helps estimate how fixed or dominant that coping preference is.
Interpretation
- Lower
EBPersuggests that a preferred style exists but still keeps some flexibility. - High
EBPerindicates that theintroversiveorextratensivedirection becomes more rigid or dominant. - In that case, the person may rely too heavily on a preferred channel and lose flexibility.
Cautions
EBPeris not interpreted ifEBhas no clear direction.- Crossing the cut-off does not by itself mean pathology; it describes reduced flexibility.
- If
EAis very low or the protocol is short, the ratio may look more extreme than it really is.
