- white-space FQ-minus frequency
Definition
S- is the raw frequency of responses that use white space (S) and receive minus Form Quality (FQ-). The application displays this count, not a percentage, in the Lower Section of the Structural Summary.
Interpretation
- A nonzero
S-shows that white-space use and perceptual distortion occurred in the same response. - Interpret the count in relation to total
R, totalFQ-, the number of white-space responses, and the rest of the protocol. - A separately derived
S-%is a different variable. Do not read the displayedS-count asS-%or apply a percentage cutoff directly to it.
Cautions
S-, total white-space frequencyS, affectiveS_aff, and the derived ratioS-%are distinct variables.- Do not infer hostility, oppositionality, or psychopathology from the raw count alone.
- If
S-%is calculated separately, verify its exact denominator and conditions of use.
