Definition

(Ad) is coded when the person describes a part of a fantastic, mythic, or invented animal.
It is the partial and imaginary member of the animal cluster.

Conditions

• The response has to point to an animal part rather than a whole animal.
• The referent must be fantastic, fictional, or clearly invented.
• Typical examples are a dragon wing, monster claw, or horn from a mythic creature.
• If the fantastic animal appears as a whole figure, first consider scoring-input/contents/(A).
• If the detail belongs to a realistic animal, first consider scoring-input/contents/Ad.

Cautions

• (Ad) and scoring-input/contents/(A) are separated by part versus whole.
• (Ad) and scoring-input/contents/Ad are separated by fantasy versus reality.
• Even though it is imaginary, the content is still an animal detail rather than a human part; compare with scoring-input/contents/Hd when needed.
