Definition

Bt is coded when the main content belongs to the plant world.
It includes plants, flowers, trees, leaves, or recognizable plant parts.

Conditions

• Use it for tree, flower, leaf, branch, cactus, or another clearly plant-like form.
• It may be used for either the full plant or a clear plant part.
• If Na applies with Bt, record Na only and do not add Bt.
• If Na is absent but both Bt and Ls apply, record only the one that best represents the response.
• If the response describes an animal or animal detail, first reconsider scoring-input/contents/A or its variants.
• If the focus shifts to blood or biological injury, first reconsider scoring-input/contents/Bl.

Cautions

• Bt is botanical content, not a judgment about color, texture, or shape.
• Do not use it just because something looks organic; the response has to organize it specifically as plant material.
• Bt, Ls, and Na all contribute to the Isolation Index, so they are not counted together within one response.
• Some sources write BT; this application uses the Comprehensive System code Bt.
