Definition

Fi is coded when the main content is fire or smoke.
The response has to organize the blot as flame, fire, smoke, or a column of smoke.

Conditions

• Use it for flames, fire, burning, smoke, or a smoke column when they are clearly named.
• The focus should stay on fire or smoke themselves.
• If the response emphasizes explosion or detonation, first reconsider scoring-input/contents/Ex.
• If the person is describing clouds, first reconsider scoring-input/contents/Cl.

Cautions

• Fi and scoring-input/contents/Ex are not separated by visual intensity; they are separated by the named content.
• Fi and scoring-input/contents/Cl can look alike when the form is diffuse, but one is smoke/fire and the other is cloud.
• Do not assign Fi just because of red or dark color; the person has to say fire or smoke.
